Adult Learning Dressmaking & Fashion Tutor
We are seeking Adult Learning Dressmaking & Fashion Tutors to join our First Steps curriculum, delivering both online and in‑person sessions in North Warwickshire, Bedworth, and Nuneaton, with the possibility to support wider areas of Warwickshire.
Classes run for two hours per week across a ten‑week term, with flexible daytime and evening hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging dressmaking and fashion sessions to adult learners.
- Support learner progress through Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).
- Work across one or more community venues in North Warwickshire.
- Contribute to an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Manage term‑time hourly‑paid schedules and maintain flexible working patterns.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience teaching dressmaking and fashion courses.
- A relevant teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one.
- A passion for adult education and the ability to inspire learners.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusive practice and learner support.
- The Fluency Duty is required; you must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
- Background Check & Conditions
Successful applicants will be subject to pre‑engagement checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in line with the DBS code of practice and our own policy.
Where a declared criminal offence exists, an individual assessment will be completed.
The role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
Pay and Benefits
Pay: £18.54 per hour (£21.10 plus annual leave payment), plus one hour of paid preparation and marking time for every two hours of teaching.
