Position Overview: Customer Service Assistant (Sunday) at Nuneaton Library. First point of contact, assist customers, use ICT, support events and activities, deliver promotional work with children.

Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for library users, greet and assist with enquiries.
  • Use ICT to assist customers with office packages, internet, social media and online services.
  • Carry out administrative duties and support day-to-day library operations.
  • Assist with events and activities, including children's programming.
  • Deliver promotional activities and promote library services.
  • Work within flexible Sunday hours 10.15 am-2.15 pm, and may be required to work at other local libraries.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 4 GCSE passes (English & Maths) at grade C or above or equivalent.
  • Experience working with members of the public in a customer-service environment.
  • Ability to share enthusiasm and knowledge of books and reading with customers of all ages.
  • Ability and willingness to deliver promotional activities.
  • Ability to support users accessing online services such as government websites, application forms, web-mail and other similar services.
  • Proof of Fluency Duty: Must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
