In response to high demand for curriculum delivery in the south and east areas of Warwickshire, we are looking for music curriculum teachers to join our team. Teaching will take place during the school day.
Responsibilities
- Teach music to pupils, including those with SEN/D, barriers to learning and/or SEMH needs.
- Inspire pupils and communicate clearly, confidently and sensitively.
- Use technology effectively and remain open to new ideas.
- Work both independently and as part of a team dedicated to musical development and safeguarding.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience or specialism in working with children and young people with SEN/D, barriers to learning or SEMH needs.
- Ability to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English – the Fluency Duty for this role is required.
- Subject to pre‑engagement checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and compliance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
Pay & Benefits
- Hourly rates ranging from £30.69 to £42.29 per hour (pay award pending).
- Pay is annualised and paid as a monthly salary throughout the year.
- Teaching hours may vary in response to demand.
- Travel expenses are paid where travel between venues is required.
- The role benefits from membership of the Teacher Pension Scheme with an employer contribution rate of typically around 19% per month.
- Additional benefits include agile working, generous annual leave with bank holidays, an extra day at Christmas and access to the Vivup benefits and discounts platform.
