We are seeking a Landscape Architect or a Graduate Landscape Architect looking to progress with experience to the next level to join our team in Manchester, one of our five studios in the UK. We have developed within Greater Manchester, and the Altrincham studio is the practice's headquarters. Whether working with the communities of East Manchester to create a district of global significance, or striving to repair our beloved hometown of Altrincham, we are part of the city and its growing creative community.
Do you want to be a part of a team designing new city centre squares, gardens, public realm and connecting streetscapes in the heart of Manchester and beyond? We have redesigned Albert Square, the city's primary public space in the Town Hall's foreground, have recently completed Ancoats Green in the Northern Quarter and were co-masterplanners and Landscape Architects for Circle Square. Our work extends widely throughout the surrounding region, from urban to rural environs, developing opportunities for community benefit and reconnection to nature including Northern Roots, the UK's largest urban farm and eco-park project in Greater Manchester.
You will be working on career defining projects that will help shape the future of the city and wider region for future generations and will be actively engaged in delivering exceptional public realm schemes such as Salford University public realm and the town centre regeneration at Wythenshawe or Eccles and other schemes that embed themselves within the communities they serve and seek to restore balance between people, place and nature.
To qualify for this position, you will:
- Have at least 2-3 years of post-graduate experience working in a creative practice.
- Possess a post-graduate qualification in Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent.
- Be organised, able to prioritise work independently and work to strict deadlines.
- Enjoy working as a team, be self-motivated, engaged and creative.
This full-time role is based on 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday). We are an Employee-Owned B-Corp and support our team by providing benefits that include flexible start and finish times (core working hours are 10.00am to 4.30pm), hybrid working (one day per week from home if full-time), enhanced maternity and paternity pay, support with professional fees, learning and development and an annual study trip allowance. There are also opportunities to work and collaborate across our UK wide studios.
Salary: £29-35K according to level of experience. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK. If you require sponsorship, please check your eligibility against the relevant criteria on the UK Government website before submitting your application.
