Job Overview
We are recruiting for 1 x permanent Consultant Social Worker (Part‑time, 22 hours per week) based at Myton Park, Myton Lane, Warwickshire.
The role is part of the Family Help Team, a multidisciplinary unit supporting families through a range of services including Children in Need, Edge of Care, Child Protection, Court work and care placement support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and support children and families to identify strengths, challenges and develop achievable plans for positive change.
- Make well‑informed decisions using analytical skills, produce concise and accurate reports.
- Build and maintain relationships with children, families and other agencies (Health, Police, Education).
- Engage in reflective, relationship‑based practice and contribute to the development of the team’s learning and innovation.
- Key Qualifications
- Professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work – CQSW).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- In‑depth experience in children’s social work and complex cases.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Fluency Duty: ability to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
- Pre‑Engagement Checks
Successful applicants will be subject to DBS checks and other relevant pre‑engagement checks in accordance with local and national regulations.
Benefits & Compensation
- Annual salary up to £53,769 (Grade O) including a £3,500 pro‑rated annual market supplement.
- Possible relocation allowance of up to £8,000, if criteria are met.
- Full reimbursement of Social Work England annual fee.
