We are currently recruiting for a Ceremony Usher for our Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon ceremony rooms. The Ceremony Usher will provide a warm and professional meet and greet service for wedding and civil partnership couples and their guests. Successful applicants will be on a zero-hour contract, to work as and when required. The position is required to cover weekday, weekend, and public holidays. The greatest demand is during the summer months; however, we are looking for someone with availability to cover ceremonies throughout the year.

To be successful in this role, you will need experience of working with the public in a customer service environment, with a commitment to delivering a first-class service. You will need excellent communication skills, with the ability to relate to people in a tactful, understanding, and diplomatic manner. You will need to work effectively as part of a team, including flexibility to work at short notice. You will be required to wear staff uniform. You will need to be able to move, lift and carry (chairs) as required (suitable training will be given) and be willing to undertake any relevant training.

The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
