Warwick Preparatory School is seeking to appoint an outstanding and innovative Head of Humanities and Form Teacher from September 2025. At Warwick Prep, this includes History, Geography and RE.

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher and have excellent communication and people skills, a positive mindset, and a forward-thinking approach to primary education. They will understand the importance of oracy in a child's learning development and be skilled in ensuring pupils are challenged through critical thinking opportunities.

They will demonstrate a deep understanding of the importance of a strong start to a child's educational journey and be highly skilled in working with parents. They will also have experience of subject leadership, being able to provide strong academic leadership to inspire colleagues who teach the Humanities.

The primary duties of Form Teachers are to have responsibility for the teaching, learning and achievement within the classroom and to fulfil the overall aims of the school by inspiring pupils to be the best that they can be within a stimulating, nurturing and supportive environment.

The Form Teacher will report directly to either the Head of Pre-Prep or Head of Prep. The successful candidate's leadership of the Humanities will be overseen by the Deputy Head.

The key areas of responsibility and duties which attach to the position are set out below, although the list is not exhaustive, and the Form Teacher may be expected to assume additional responsibilities as reasonably requested by the Head.
