Main Duties of the Job
As a salaried GP, you will manage and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. You will be expected to undertake all normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
As a GP, you will recognise the importance of great communication within the team and will strive to:

You’ll be joining a skilled, multidisciplinary group including:

Job Responsibilities
In accordance with the agreed job plan, the salaried GP will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including:
- Surgery consultations, telephone consultations, telephone triage, visiting patients, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries.
- Processing clinical documentation, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Participating in the duty doctor rota.
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems.
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Covering all the clinical management of the patients in surgery as appropriate.
- Developing care and treatment plans in consultation with patients.
- Ensuring appropriate follow-up of patients.
- Recording clear and contemporaneous computerised consultation notes to agreed standards.
- Prescribing generically whenever appropriate.
- Complying with all the objectives of the QOF targets and ICB initiatives.
- Completion of reports for solicitors, insurance companies, and other third parties.
- Working with and supporting other members of the primary health care team.
- Taking an active role in delivering clinical governance.
- Promoting preventative health care and advice where appropriate.
- Leading on training, supervising, and supporting learners.

- Participate in practice clinical meetings.

- Participate in the GP revalidation and appraisal scheme.
- Maintain a portfolio of continuing professional development activities.
