Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists during patient treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical environment. The Dental Nurse will be responsible for assisting with procedures, maintaining hygiene standards, and delivering exceptional patient service.

Duties

  • Assisting dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials.
  • Providing high-quality patient care by offering reassurance and explaining procedures clearly.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and sterilisation of dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Managing patient records accurately using IT systems and maintaining organised appointment schedules.
  • Supporting patients before, during, and after treatments, including providing post-operative advice.
  • Maintaining the clinical environment to ensure it remains tidy, safe, and compliant with infection control protocols.
  • Administering local anaesthesia under supervision where appropriate and authorised.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as updating patient information and handling correspondence.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
  • Knowledge of patient care principles and nursing practices relevant to dental healthcare.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and scheduling purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy clinical environment.
  • Fluency in English is required to ensure clear communication with patients and team members. Pay: Β£12.21-Β£13.50 per hour
