An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to join a prestigious golf club in Solihull during a significant period of growth and transformation.
Our client is bringing together its bar, restaurant and catering operations under one unified Food & Beverage team, creating a unique opportunity for an ambitious hospitality professional to play a key role in shaping the future of the department. This is an ideal position for a hands-on hospitality leader who enjoys delivering exceptional customer experiences, developing teams, and working across a varied operation that includes member dining, golf events, functions and large-scale external events.
The Role
As Food & Beverage Assistant Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of the club's hospitality operations, ensuring consistently high standards of service across restaurant, bar and event functions. Initially, the role will focus heavily on restaurant and catering operations while the integration of departments is completed, before evolving into a broader Food & Beverage management position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of golf, member and external events
- Lead lunch and evening restaurant service operations
- Assist with the management of clubhouse bar operations
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards across all areas
- Support stock control, ordering and cellar management
- Assist with staff training, development and performance management
- Coordinate rotas and staffing requirements
- Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth service delivery
- Support functions and events, including banqueting for up to 200 guests
- Promote a positive team culture during an exciting period of change
- Lead by example with a proactive, hands-on approach
About You

Skills & Experience Required
- Previous Food & Beverage supervisory or management experience
- Strong background in restaurant, bar and events operations
- Experience managing busy service periods
- Good knowledge of wines, spirits and beverage service
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong organisational and planning abilities
- Passion for staff development and training
- A flexible, hands-on approach to hospitality
