Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Technical Advisor to support their Operations and Project Management teams. This is a specialist contract role, reporting into senior operational leadership, with a broad scope across multiple areas of the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in improving build quality, supporting project delivery, and providing technical expertise across internal teams.
Key Responsibilities- Attend site builds as required, providing on-the-ground technical support.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new operational staff.
- Drive continuous improvement in build quality and workmanship standards.
- Deliver training and guidance on internal systems (including Hiretrack).
- Support implementation of R&D initiatives, including new build systems and structures.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards aligned to ISO 9001:2015.
- Partner with internal leadership to provide technical input to the sales function.
- Support Project Managers on complex or large-scale project deliveries.
- Provide technical stand design input to support the sales process.
- Review new projects to identify risks, challenges, and delivery considerations.
- Contribute to improving and streamlining quoting processes for indoor projects.
- Develop and maintain working model and layout templates.
- Train and upskill team members in SketchUp/Trimble usage.
- Ensure all indoor builds are supported by accurate technical drawings.
- Promote wider capability within the team to deliver technical drawing work.
- Capture on-site content for use across digital and social channels.
- Produce high-quality finished imagery suitable for marketing use.
- Strong technical background within events, exhibitions, or build environments.
- Proven experience supporting operational and project delivery teams.
- Proficiency in SketchUp/Trimble (or similar design tools).
- Ability to train, mentor, and influence teams at varying levels.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable working on-site and travelling as required.
