The Area Consult Manager is responsible for driving product specification and securing project opportunities across the North/East region. The role focuses on influencing architects, specifiers, main contractors, and fabricators to ensure products are specified and tracked from concept through to order. The position requires strong commercial awareness, proactive project tracking, and effective relationship management to deliver agreed sales targets and regional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure product specification with architects, consultants, and specifiers across the East Midlands region.
- Track projects efficiently from early design stage through to order placement.
- Target and engage main contractors to secure open specification projects.
- Identify and support ongoing project opportunities for approved fabricators nationwide.
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the construction and architectural sectors.
Market Knowledge
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, trends, and regional requirements.
- Stay informed of competitor activity and product offerings.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the existing and potential customer base.
- Recognise regional variations in product suitability and application.
- Provide consistent feedback to the business regarding market intelligence and emerging trends.
Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records within the CRM system.
- Record and manage all customer correspondence and project information.
- Submit weekly activity plans and call reports on time (by close of business Friday).
- Submit monthly reports on time (by the 4th of each month).
- Ensure adequate stock levels of relevant sales and presentation materials.
- Maintain high professional standards including punctuality, smart appearance, and professional vehicle presentation.
