Overview

Warwick District Council is looking for a motivated and adaptable individual to join our Systems and Service Support Team as a Service Support Officer. This is a key frontline and administrative role providing excellent customer and public-facing service and assisting in the smooth and efficient operation of the service area. You will be the first point of contact for a wide range of queries - primarily dealing with Environmental Health, but also dealing with those related to Community Safety, ASB and Licensing amongst other areas. You will need to deal directly with enquiries and complaints, maintaining accurate records on our back-office system and supporting with Environmental Health cases. The role also involves risk assessments for nuisance or ASB cases, liaising with other departments and external organisations. You will provide administrative support through database management, minute-taking and assisting with projects. You will need to be flexible and eager to learn as the role can evolve daily.

Responsibilities

  • Being the first point of contact for a wide range of enquiries.
  • Dealing directly with complaints and queries.
  • Undertaking risk assessments for sensitive cases.
  • Maintaining records on our back-office system, spreadsheets and other databases.
  • Providing admin support to various teams across the service area, primarily the EH and Support Teams.
  • Being flexible and adaptable to changing demands.
  • Working during our core-opening hours of 8.45am-5.15pm to ensure appropriate cover of inboxes and phone-lines.
  • The intention is for the postholder to work predominately from home; however, it is a requirement to attend our offices within Warwick District as required for meetings and/or service away days. There will be an expectation to attend WDC\\\'s main office for training and onboarding throughout the probation period of the role, to work alongside senior colleagues. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. However, office and hybrid working are also available to those who prefer to be in an office-environment.
