We have a requirement to support and address opportunities and challenges facing our Housing Service. As an experienced professional, you will play a pivotal role in our Senior Leadership Team to continue to support our diverse communities.
You will have previous experience working at a senior level in, or closely with local government or social housing and will have experience in building positive relationships with different stakeholders including elected members, senior officers, regulators and partner organisations.

The Housing Service is made up from:
- Landlord Services (6000 properties - approx. 5500 rented & 600 leasehold)
- HRA Asset Management
- Homelessness Services
- Temporary Accommodation
Key focus for this role:
- Lead the housing service to ensure efficient day-to-day service delivery
- Senior Officer Sponsorship for the Consumer Standards Action Plan and to ensure the service is inspection ready for 2027
- Engagement with the Regulator of Social Housing
- Senior Officer Sponsorship for the housing & asset structure review and implementation
- Support the mobilisation of the new repairs and maintenance contract
- Member of the Council’s Senior Leadership Team
