The Parking Service at Warwick District Council is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed team player to join our highly effective Parking Support team. You will need to be highly organised and work closely with other members of the team, supporting the administration of the parking enforcement management system.
You will be proactive in monitoring the daily workload within the Parking Support team, dealing with parking‑related enquiries by telephone, in‑person, by letter and electronic communication effectively, in addition to processing parking permits and delivering excellent customer service. You will also ensure a comprehensive, quality Notice Processing parking service is provided within legislatively defined timeframes.
You will need to make important decisions when processing incoming Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) challenges, considering circumstantial and mitigating evidence submitted by an appellant against the Council's evidence. You will produce detailed case files which are submitted to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal and assist in the monitoring of debt‑recovery procedures.
You will be competent in a number of computer programmes, primarily Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new systems such as bespoke parking enforcement software. You will be educated to at least ‘GCSE’ standard or equivalent.
The candidate must be confident to work alone with minimal supervision, make decisions without direction at times, be reliable, conscientious, self‑motivated, flexible and trustworthy.
