We are seeking an experienced Housing professional to join our team as a Senior Income Management Officer. If you are a dynamic individual with a strong background in housing management related income recovery and a passion for delivering excellent service by managing, leading and inspiring teams, this could be the position for you.

The post holder will operate as a subject matter expert, driving maximization of income from rent and other charges across a range of tenures, through preventative and pro-active measures by leading a customer facing team who are focused on sustaining tenancies and supporting our residents to thrive in our properties whilst balancing the need to recover income owed to the housing team through rental income, leasehold charges, re-chargeable repairs, or former tenant arrears.

You will help manage our income management officers by providing them with guidance and support on procedural, policy and legal matters, being responsible for effective supervision of the team. The successful candidate will proactively plan and implement strategies to assist Warwick District Council to collect its income, producing operational procedures as and when required to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice, assisting in the development of new initiatives that aim to prevent household debt.

You will effectively supervise the team by carrying out case reviews to ensure policies and procedures are being adhered to, coaching colleagues in order to provide first point resolution to support our residents to clear any arrears whilst sustaining their tenancies. The role involves supporting colleagues with complex case management including preparing witness statements, court files and representing the Council at Court hearings without any legal representation or assistance, whilst keeping up to date with legislative changes.

This is a varied role, where you can really make a difference while developing leadership and management skills that provides an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career within a forward-looking housing service - and to make a visible difference to the lives of tenants every single day.

The intention is for the postholder to work predominantly from home; however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. However, hybrid and office working is also available.
