Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planning, specification, procurement, implementation, management, and delivery of planned work projects and maintenance contracts.
- Undertaking stock condition surveys, measured surveys, damp and defect inspections, project management or post-inspections.
- Preparing feasibility studies, reports, technical drawings, tender specifications, RIBA work plans, work orders, confirmations of instructions, and health and safety information.
- Preparing planning, building control or listed building applications as appropriate, ensuring assets are maintained in compliance.
- Serving as point of contact for clients and customers regarding specified project management works and designated assets including car parks, watercourses, Sustainable Urban Drainage schemes, environmental improvements, or street furniture maintenance.
- Processing work requests and enquiries, instructing contractors, providing accurate information to clients, and giving technical assistance to Building Managers and client staff throughout project planning and delivery.
- Managing and administering specified projects and maintenance contracts, ensuring correct contractual procedures and fiscal control (including preparation, negotiation, agreement, processing, and audit of valuations, interim applications for payment, and final accounts).
- Reviewing and maintaining key contractual documentation such as risk registers, programmes of work, certification, contractor performance, and key performance indicators.
- Maintaining records to ensure a clear, auditable record of actions and payments is preserved.
- Ensuring all works comply with Health and Safety Standards, including the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 and other relevant legislation.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical surveying knowledge.
- Excellent report-writing skills.
- Experience in housing disrepair, building pathology, or property inspections.
- Knowledge of relevant housing standards and legislation.
- Experience managing or authoring tender specifications, health and safety information, and planning/building control applications is desirable.
Working Conditions:
The postholder will work predominantly from home, but may need to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Travel costs from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. Hybrid and office working is also available.
Salary & Hours:
Permanent post – 37 hours per week. Grade G-D. Salary £26,824 to £46,142 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
