We're looking for someone to join our Finance team team as Interim Finance System Project Manager on a temporary basis, inside or outside IR35. The hours & location are negotiable., As a senior member of the Finance department, you will be responsible for the new finance system implementation project, acting as the key functional lead. A primary responsibility is defining and executing the necessary updates to our organisational structures and Chart of Accounts, ensuring robust testing protocols and timely milestones are met to guarantee a smooth and accurate transition. The manager will provide the key interface between the chosen software provider and the Finance and Digital Services department. This role is critical for the success of the system implementation, requiring the manager to lead the design and standardisation of the financial structures and workflows, meticulously oversee the mapping and data migration of financial master data, and ensure system accuracy through the development and rigorous execution of all necessary configuration and test scripts. The project is in flight with a go live target of early December, we are looking for someone to pick up from the internal resource and take the project to completion and then assist during the post go live report building process.
HOURS OF WORK The postholder will be expected to work such hours as are necessary for the proper performance of their duties and responsibilities. The number of hours can be discussed with the panel.
LEAVE ENTITLEMENT The College offers a generous leave entitlement of 38 days leave (includes 25 days leave, 8 statutory Bank Holidays, 4 College closure days at Christmas and an annual Relaxed Day) pro rata for part time.
PLACE OF WORK The principal place of work will be discussed with the panel at interview stage. However, the post holder may be required to work on either a temporary or an indefinite basis at any premises at which we may provide services.
OFFERS OF WORK For the successful candidate a conditional offer of work will be made. Our offer of work will be conditional upon a number of mandatory pre-employment checks, to include but not limited to: DBS, Barred List check, right to work check, internet search, TRA check (academic posts).
- Formal project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile Project Management, or MSP) or equivalent proven experience.
- Desirable Attainments:
- Fully qualified Accountant (CCAB: ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or CIPFA).
