The business has a secured pipeline of work across West Norfolk and the wider East of England, delivering a mix of new build and refurbishment projects across education, healthcare, commercial and public-sector environments. Projects are sensibly procured, properly resourced, and planned to be delivered well, not rushed through.
They are now strengthening their site leadership with a Senior Site Manager who takes pride in running organised, safe, professional sites and wants long-term stability rather than chasing the next short-term project.
As Senior Site Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day management of live construction sites, acting as the senior presence on site and setting the standard for safety, quality and programme. You will lead subcontractors and site teams, coordinate works in line with the programme, and maintain clear control of site operations from start to finish. Working alongside a Project Manager or Contracts Manager, you will be trusted to make decisions, solve problems as they arise, and keep projects moving without unnecessary escalation. This is a role for someone who enjoys ownership, runs a tight site, and leads by example.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for site operations and daily activity
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors and direct labour
- Short-term planning and sequencing of works to maintain programme
- Ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and site discipline
- Maintaining quality control in line with drawings and specifications
- Managing site documentation, inductions and permits
- Acting as the senior point of contact on site for all parties
About You
- Established Senior Site Manager, or a strong Site Manager ready to step up
- Experience delivering new build and/or refurbishment projects
- Confident leader with a calm, organised and decisive approach
- Strong understanding of programme management and build sequencing
- Proactive problem-solver who takes responsibility rather than deferring
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid essential
- Temporary Works Coordinator and additional H&S training advantageous
