We are looking for a Site Transformation Manager to join our business on a permanent basis reporting to the Head of Delivery. The business operates within the maritime defence sector providing engineering solutions in demanding and harsh environments. The site has ambitious growth plans and is investing in facilities, equipment, people and processes. This role will partner with the site leadership team to lead the site transformation program and the development of our operational capability.

The successful applicant will need to be able to develop and deliver effective change programmes, infrastructure projects, machinery investments and new IT systems. Providing effective stakeholder management and engagement throughout the business to bring effective change and establish new ways of working. You will need to be a strong communicator; demonstrating high levels of credibility, and able to create strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, at all levels within the business. You will need to lead and motivate across functions to ensure the safe, compliant, and successful delivery of the projects, in line with the business strategy, management expectations, and relevant legislation and regulations.

What will I be doing?

As the Site Transformation Manager, you will be accountable for:

  • Developing and facilitating investment plans and change programmes, working closely with the Operations team, to support the long-term business plan
  • Planning and project execution of change programmes, including infrastructure changes, installation of new plant, machinery and equipment, and new IT systems; to ensure benefits are realised
  • Leading the site through the changes, with good stakeholder management and engagement. Ensure people impacts are identified and incorporated into delivery plans to ensure adoption of new ways of working

Main Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder management and engagement of site leadership team, managers, group functions, suppliers, and the wider workforce
  • Developing and facilitating investment plans and business cases for capital expenditure
  • Project management and delivery of investment projects, including planning, cost management, risk management and reporting
  • Ensuring project compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety, and Security policy, procedures, operational controls; to meet all legal and business requirements
  • Developing an effective business change management process
  • Delivering effective change management for business change initiatives and projects and ensuring benefits are measured and realised
  • Supporting and engaging with subcontractors, contractors, and consultants throughout the life of project
  • Ensuring projects are completed successfully and transitioned effectively into the normal business operation, with effective adoption of new ways of working
  • Staying current with safety regulations and best practices in the manufacturing industries

To be successful in this role:

  • Hold a formal Project Management qualification
  • Demonstrated successful project management of infrastructure or capital investment projects
  • Experience and understanding of structured change management methodologies and approaches
  • Demonstrated successful change management within manufacturing business
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of compliance and health & safety legislation

This role requires sufficient SC clearance or ability to obtain sufficient SC clearance.
