What You Will Be Doing
The ADR cell encompasses a range of manual machines manufacturing components for seal assemblies and spares. This position uses grinding, milling, turning, and lapping machines, handling materials such as Inconel, stainless steels, carbon, and composites. Business demand drives the required manpower and skills. Flexibility is key, covering a variety of duties safely and accurately to meet our OTIF target.
Responsibilities
- Operate drilling machines
- Operate lapping machines
- Work to tight tolerances using measuring equipment
- Interpret engineering drawings and processes
- Handle highly resistant materials such as Inconel
- Communicate with ops teams to proactively meet OTIF
- Continuous improvement of processes and procedures
- Maintain safety procedures following H&S protocols
- Perform any other duties as required
Qualifications
- Experience in a tool room environment
- Experience with grinding machines
- Assembly and fitting experience
- Minimum 5 years in an engineering environment
- Understanding of health & safety procedures
- Mechanical or assembly aptitude
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Good communication within a small team
- College education or solid experience in manufacturing industry
