Responsibilities:
- Clear communications and hands-on approach with a strong work ethic
- Drive improvements as part of a continuous improvement culture
- Work safely in line with the company’s Health and Safety policy
- Maintain a working area to a good standard as part of 5S implementation
- Ensure quality is maintained and follow processes for the area correctly implemented to company standards
- Carry out tasks in accordance with set process times to meet deadlines
- Have a flexible approach and at times move onto other disciplines within skill set
- Help with skills flex training and cross-train others when required
Qualifications:
- Ideally an apprenticeship served
- Heidenhain programming skills
- Familiarity with turning and milling techniques
- Experience handling composite materials is an advantage
- Understanding of Health apprenticeship served
Experience:
- Minimum five years engineering experience in the manufacturing industry
- Minimum five years CNC programming knowledge (Heidenhain)
- Modern tool cutting knowledge
- Experience working with castings and various metals (including Inconel, aluminium bronze, cast iron, duplex and stainless steel)
- CI experience (lean 7 wastes) and safety/5S
- Computer-literate (Microsoft)
