What you will do:

  • Manage and actively participate in the group for “Root‑Cause Analysis”.
  • Contribute to product improvement processes for 4‑Stroke products.
  • Follow the relevant specialist environment—both internally and externally—through literature, research and contact with other businesses.
  • Attend customer meetings and seminars in cooperation with the Service Sales Department.
  • Provide specialist expertise through internal product training for staff.
  • Work in close cooperation with partner teams within Technical Services to enable efficient and world‑class support.
  • Perform audits.

Education:

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or a Bachelor degree in Marine, Mechanical or another applicable technical degree is desirable. Documented relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education.

Competences and experiences required to succeed in the role:

  • Approximately 5 years of experience within 4‑Stroke mechanics and machinery controls.
  • Experience with operations and/or installation and maintenance of other Wärtsilä products is a strong plus.
  • A proactive approach and technical reporting skills.
  • Customer‑focused with a service‑mindset.
  • Knowledge of Engine Automation preferred.
  • Good English skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility and good cooperation skills.
  • Ability to work systematically.
  • Technical problem‑solving skills.
  • Safety certificate for offshore (Wärtsilä will cover the expenses if not already held).
  • Knowledge in sales and technical negotiation.
  • Structured, analytic, and self‑dependent working attitude.
  • Good team player in an international and intercultural working environment.
  • Willingness to travel.
