Join the Lifecycle Data Operations Centre of Excellence (CoE). Are you an experienced professional with a passion for process improvement and technical data management? Would you like to become part of a journey, with the goal of enabling customer interaction directly with data? The preferred location for this position is Helsinki or Turku, Finland, but other main Wärtsilä office locations in Europe can also be considered. Due to limitations outlined by data processing guidelines, locations outside of Europe can't be accepted for the roles. In line with our hybrid work model, you will be able to work partially remotely. The Lifecycle Data Process Expert position is a family leave substitution and offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The process expertise areas in scope for this position are Code Resolution, Technical Identification, and Service Plans. The process experts' goal is to drive LC data process consistency, completeness, accuracy, and quality across the named expertise areas and strongly drive automation, use of modern technologies, and adoption of revised ways of working across Wärtsilä.
About the role: As the Lifecycle Data Process Expert, you will play a critical role in our organisation, acting as the main contact point for spare part and maintenance, repair, and overhaul in process design, development, and documentation matters in the area of Lifecycle Data. This role is located in the Lifecycle Data Operations CoE and requires the successful candidates to be proactive in shaping the activities of both the role and the function itself. The groundwork in defining the structures and strategies driving the future operations has been largely completed. Now the work is moving towards operational mode, ensuring that all processes are efficient, effective, and tailored to meet the organisation's needs and governance setup.
You will be responsible for:
- Driving the processes and creating comprehensive future-proof process descriptions.
- Defining control points within the processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Continuous improvement of the Lifecycle Data processes.
- Upskilling and supporting the organisation to understand and follow the processes effectively.
- Monitoring the process from a process improvement and automation needs perspective.
- Engaging the organisation around the process and identifying continuous improvement needs.
- Guiding internal and external experts in delivering the needed process enhancements and Lifecycle Data Information products.
- Conducting quality assurance on Lifecycle Data Information products delivered by internal and external experts.
- Being responsible for the escalations from any Engineering service partner and taking part in project solutioning and scoping where needed.
- Acting as a liaison between various departments, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with stakeholders.

- Order Specification
- Service Plan once operational
- Operation and Maintenance Manuals
- Spare Parts Catalogue
- Code Resolution
- Regulatory and Compliance

The ideal candidate must possess these skills and capabilities:
- Sufficient technical knowledge of maintenance, repair, and overhaul data creation and governance as well as understanding of Wärtsilä operational landscape both from a tool and process perspective.
- Ability to link the operational data process with commercial performance is seen as a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
- Positive attitude and readiness to be part of a freshly established function, supporting the creation of the best possible Lifecycle Data Operations CoE for Wärtsilä.
