We are now looking for an HR Advisor to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and offers a hybrid working pattern to include two days in Havant, one day at Fareham and two days working remotely.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role you will advise and support both the Senior HR team and the business stakeholders on various HR matters, reporting to the Head of HR, UK. You will deliver a commercially focused, proactive service to multiple UK locations, supporting the execution of strategic HR goals.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing timely and accurate advice to employees and managers.
- Manage the HR ticketing system for the UK, ensuring efficient handling and appropriate escalation of queries.
- Coach and advise managers on routine employee relations issues such as performance management, attendance, and conduct, while escalating complex matters as needed.
- Support change management activities in conjunction with HR Managers.
- Assist with formal investigations, hearings, and employee consultations, ensuring legal compliance in documentation.
- Lead the absence management process, including policy development, manager training, reporting, analytics, and supporting wellbeing discussions.
- Support the delivery of global HR initiatives such as merit reviews and training.
- Contribute to project work, for example TUPE transfers.
- Assist with the review and update of UK HR policies and processes to maintain compliance and clarity.
- Support cultural change activities and compliance audits.
- Prepare monthly management team reports and perform general HR administrative duties.
- Identify opportunities for HR process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Develop strong relationships with key internal and external customers, demonstrating professional credibility.
- A CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent is advantageous but not essential; a demonstrable background in HR is required.
- Working knowledge of basic UK employment legislation and best practices.
- Ability to create HR solutions with a results orientation.
- Apply HR people processes and policy.
- Possess a proactive approach.
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and adaptability.
- SC clearance is required or the ability to obtain sufficient SC clearance.
