Position: Permanent, located in Havant.

Responsibilities

  • Operate grinding machines, milling machines, turning machines and lapping machines to produce seal assembly components and spares.
  • Machine materials such as Inconel, stainless steel, carbon, and composites.
  • Work within tight tolerances using a variety of measuring equipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and processes.
  • Communicate with operations teams to proactively meet OTIF targets.
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures.
  • Execute all duties safely following health & safety procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a tool room environment.
  • Experience with grinding machines.
  • Experience assembling and fitting components.
  • Five years’ experience in an engineering environment.
  • Understanding of health & safety procedures.
  • Mechanical/assembly aptitude.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Effective communication within a small team.
  • Ideally at least college level education or solid experience in a manufacturing industry.
