We now have a very exciting opportunity for you to join our team to provide daily support to the Marine Power, Parts & Services Field Service Engineers. As a Field Service Coordinator (Propulsion), you will be embedded into providing excellent support for our customer and colleagues by ensuring the smooth running of activities of our Field Services teams. This is a permanent role and is located in Glasgow.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for the successful coordination relating to Field Service activities
- Ensure all service work under your control is correctly executed with proper utilisation of labour to maintain a high quality of service.
- Liaise with service engineers, monitoring to ensure that jobs will be completed as per quotation.
- Review service reports related to the project and ensure follow ups are conducted in timely and professional manner.
- Provide support in managing customer enquiries related to Engineer Service.
- Promote a close liaison with Account Managers & Sales Support Team to ensure best possible delivery of service to the customer.
- Inform internal and external stakeholders such as the customer, sales spare parts and account manager, regarding required support.
- Identify and implement improvements through cost efficient means.
- Attend customer site visits with internal stakeholders and communicate effectively with on-site teams relative to the service job.
What do we expect from you?
- A technical background, preferably within a service position is desirable but not essential
- Demonstrable ability to communicate & solve problems effectively
- Structured, good attention to detail and self-motivated
- You will have an excellent customer understanding
- Recognised Engineering qualification, or equivalent experience
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally
