Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking to appoint a Safeguarding and Welfare Officer to provide high-quality, proactive welfare, wellbeing and safeguarding support to our learners.

The successful candidate will work closely with students, staff and external agencies to identify and address barriers to learning, support students with complex needs and safeguarding concerns, and help learners achieve their full potential.

This role can also be offered on a term time only basis. The salary will be adjusted accordingly.

Suitable candidates will have 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or equivalent, including Maths and English, together with knowledge of safeguarding and mental health awareness. You will have experience of liaising effectively with a range of people and external agencies, strong interpersonal and organisational skills, and the ability to evaluate challenging situations and make well-judged decisions. You will also be confident in using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
