About the Role
We are seeking a Personal Assistant to support a 34-year-old man with autism and learning disabilities to live independently. The role involves providing personal and practical assistance at home and in the community, following the employer’s instructions. Physical strength is not required, but good general health is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care (showering, toileting, dressing)
- Help with meal preparation and cutting food
- Wash clothes and bedding as needed
- Support with shopping and light domestic tasks
- Escort to leisure activities (swimming, walks, trampolining, cycling)
- Be flexible to undertake other reasonable tasks as requested
Requirements
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence (must have insurance covering business use)
- Previous experience in a similar role (preferred)

- Respectful, flexible, honest, trustworthy
- Good communicator, patient, well-mannered
- Sense of humour

- Non-smoker preferred
Additional Information
