Female PERSONAL ASSISTANT IS REQUIRED to support a 16-year-old teenage girl, who has a rare genetic mutation called HNRNPH2, to support her at home and to access social and leisure activities within the community. She has a great personality, she is non-verbal and is a wheelchair user. She likes music, going to the park, books, baking and messy play. She does not like loud noises and overcrowded places.

Based in the Lymm area of Warrington, Cheshire, a car driver is preferred for this role. Experience with working with people who have physical disabilities and additional needs is essential for this role.

HOURS: 8 HOURS PER WEEK, to be worked on Saturdays, during the days or evenings. Additional hours may be required during school holidays and some weekday evenings. The exact working times will be discussed with the prospective employer at the interview stage.

RATE OF PAY: £12.60 per hour

Personal Requirements:

  • Support in learning independent living skills
  • Support with personal care tasks; showering, going to toilet, changing continence pads.
  • Assistance with lifting and hoisting (experience with this is required)
  • Escorting to events and outings
  • Support during social and leisure activities

Successful applicants are required to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
