This position is advertised in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1 Occupational Requirements.
Hours: 8 hours per alternate weekends (preferably 5 hours on Saturday and 3 hours on Sunday). Exact working times will be discussed with the prospective employer at the interview stage. Additional hours may be required during school holidays and some weekday evenings.
Rate of Pay: £13.60 per hour.
Location: Lymm area, Warrington, Cheshire. A car driver is preferred for this role. Experience working with individuals who have physical disabilities and additional needs is essential.
We are looking for one female Personal Assistant to support a 16-year-old teenage girl who has a rare genetic mutation called HNRNPH2, for 8 hours per week. The role involves assisting her at home and enabling access to social and leisure activities within the community. She has a great personality, is non-verbal, and uses a wheelchair. She enjoys music, going to the park, books, baking, and messy play. She does not like loud noises or overcrowded places.
Personal Requirements:
- Support in learning independent living skills.
- Assistance with personal care tasks: showering, toileting, changing continence pads.
- Experience with lifting and hoisting (essential).
- Escorting to events and outings.
- Support during social and leisure activities.
Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
