It’s an exciting time to be joining Children Social Care in Warrington, as we continue to implement the social care reforms as a Pathfinder authority. Our team managers play a crucial role in implementing our practice model and are integral in developing outstanding social work practice across the teams.

The role involves being a committed team manager who feels confident in making decisions to support, safeguard and protect children, with a commitment to learn and a passion for supporting and developing staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervision of social workers working with families on CIN and CP plans, and those subject to Pre-proceedings and care proceedings.
  • Involvement with families following the completion of an assessment by our duty teams until the conclusion of care proceedings.

Candidates must have experience in supervising staff and tracking performance data, which are essential components of excellent social work practice.
