We are seeking a committed, compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and contribute to the life of our Catholic community. This role is part time, term time only plus Inset days, working 17.50 hours per week, mornings in Key Stage 2.
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant at St Benedict’s, you will work closely with teachers and senior leaders to support high-quality learning and the well-being of pupils. Guided by our Catholic ethos, you will help create a nurturing environment where every child is valued and encouraged to flourish.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils across a range of abilities, including those with additional needs.
- Promoting positive relationships, modelling kindness, respect, and the teachings of Christ.
- Encouraging pupils’ spiritual, emotional, and social development in line with our mission.
- Assisting with lesson delivery, small group interventions, and targeted support.
- Helping maintain a purposeful learning environment and preparing classroom resources.
- Promoting independence, active engagement, and a love of learning.
- Following safeguarding, child protection, and confidentiality procedures at all times.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who is committed to supporting children within a Catholic school community. They will:

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience supporting children in an educational setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and inclusion.
- Ability to support pupils with a range of individual needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school (you do not need to be Catholic, but must be supportive of our mission).
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. An enhanced DBS check and online search will be undertaken for the successful candidate.
