The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Warrington Borough Council as we move forward with the development of local special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) services working within the SEND team and reporting directly to one of the SEND team managers.
The role involves supporting the SEND Team to comply with the requirements set out in the SEND Code of Practice 2014, to support professionals to review, monitor and assess the education, health and care needs of children and young people with SEND. This is a permanent post working 37 hours per week.
What's needed?
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines, especially with regards to statutory timescales for EHCP Annual Reviews and Key Stage Transfers.
- Ability to work independently with resilience under pressure.
- Ability to build positive relationships with parents/carers and children and young people.
- High degree of awareness of the needs of service users.

As part of the selection process, there will be an interview and short task. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. In accordance with Home Office guidance, successful candidates must evidence their right to work in the UK before commencement of employment. Sponsorship is not available for this role. Therefore, you must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for appointment. DBS clearance is required.
