The Role
Grappenhall Heys is an outstanding and popular community primary school, situated in South Warrington. We have wonderful well-motivated pupils, an enthusiastic and committed staff and Governing Body, inspirational senior leaders, supportive parents, and strong links with the community.
The school is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic teaching assistant, who is able to support teaching and learning throughout school and is willing to take part in the life of the school

Applications are welcomed from enthusiastic teaching assistants who:
- can work alongside teachers and other support staff to support and develop the literacy and numeracy skills of pupils
- have an ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with the pupils, parents and staff
- have experience of working with children with specific needs
- are able to work as part of a team
- demonstrate strong behaviour management skills in line with school policy
- follow school policies and procedures β safeguarding, welfare, health and safety and data protection
- undergo any training required in order to perform relevant duties efficiently
- support the teaching of a curriculum that allows pupils to achieve and make progress
- be a patient and understanding champion of vulnerable pupils. The posts also include pastoral care duties including lunchtime pupil support.

The above post will be subject to enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references and will be exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Key Information
Contract Type: This role is a full-time position, but a part-time candidate may be considered. The post is Monday to Friday 8:45am β 3:15pm (30 hours per week)
Contract Term: Fixed term until 31 March 2027
