We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and accomplished teacher to join our outstanding Key Stage 4 team from October 2026 or as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering an ambitious, appropriately adapted curriculum that supports pupils to achieve relevant accreditation and prepares them for adulthood and their next steps.
Experience of teaching KS4 accreditation to pupils with SEND and of working with pupils with Autism is highly desirable, but not essential. Green Lane School is an all-age mixed school for children with Moderate, Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) aged 4-16 years.
This is a tremendous opportunity for the right candidate within a school that was judged to be ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in its last five consecutive Ofsted Inspections, and is committed to providing the highest quality provision for all of its pupils. The school is designated as a Specialist School for Cognition and Learning and is accredited by the National Autistic Society as an Advanced Accredited School.
Green Lane School is an aware employer and is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults as a high priority. The successful applicant will therefore be required to apply for an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service. The above post will be subject to enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references and will be exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
