Willow Green Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) is recruiting for a Job Coach. As an integral role within the Supported Internship team, the Job Coach supports learners within the classroom environment and work placement. The role provides practical support to learners on tasks in the workplace, as well as social and emotional support.
In conjunction with this, the post involves training learners to access the workplace independently using public transport or defined walking routes as appropriate. The Job Coach will work closely with learners, teachers, and employers to support the successful delivery of supported internships and work-based learning. This will include profiling learners, helping to shape appropriate job roles, and providing tailored support either individually or in groups to enable learners to access and participate fully in workplace activities.
A key part of the role will be to model, demonstrate and support learners with the practical aspects of their work placement, helping them to understand tasks, develop competence, and build confidence in the workplace. The postholder will assist learners with literacy, numeracy, and IT where required, support them to produce evidence of work competence, and assess progress against agreed workplace targets.
The Job Coach will liaise effectively with employers, mentors and colleagues to review learner progress, complete required paperwork, and contribute positively as a member of the wider Willow Green team. They will participate in staff meetings, training and development as required, always upholding confidentiality, promoting the ethos of Willow Green CIO, and remaining flexible and responsive to changes in duties, routines and circumstances.
