Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship – St Helens CE Primary School

The role

Main Purpose:

An apprentice Teaching Assistant Level 3 is required to join our team. We wish them to share our educational philosophy on the provision of high-quality, creative learning opportunities with a view to developing the whole child.

The successful apprentice will support in providing a safe, happy, and well-disciplined learning environment, enabling our children to acquire a wide range of knowledge, skills, and practical abilities.

Main Duties:

Under the guidance of teachers, the successful candidate will work with individuals or small groups of children to support their education, personal, and social development, establishing positive relationships to assist pupils in completing structured learning activities.

  • Support the implementation of learning activities working with individual or small groups of pupils.
  • Assist in the development of skills supporting pupils\’ learning and help produce learning resources.
  • Assist in pupil supervision.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and developmental needs, reporting progress to the teacher.
  • Work within the school\’s policies and procedures.
  • Work towards the relevant apprenticeship framework and complete work in a timely manner.
  • Undertake duties associated with a Teaching Assistant to support training and development.
