We are looking to appoint a dedicated and professional Attendance & Pastoral Officer, who alongside another attendance officer already in post, will work in our Main school.
The successful candidate will support students and raise achievement by improving attendance and engagement.
If successful, you will have a real opportunity to improve the life chances of young people.
The precise job description will be finalised upon appointment, taking into account the specific skills, experiences and interests of the successful candidate.
Tracking and improving attendance will be the primary focus, but the successful candidate will be more than purely an attendance officer; you will also be very much part of the student services pastoral team, playing a broader role in providing pastoral care and support for all students.
Successful candidates will have experience of working in a school or college environment and are highly likely to have some direct experience of working on attendance.
It will also be an advantage to be familiar with the use of Class Charts and SIMS to record and analyse attendance patterns.
However, above all we are looking for people who work well in teams, are flexible, resilient, have a 'can do' attitude in their approach to work and who can form strong relationships with young people and their families.
Your attitude, potential and willingness to learn are at least as important as your prior experience.
Lymm High School is a 11-18 school with nearly 1900 students (360 in the 6th form) and exceptional resources, including 28 acres of beautiful grounds, a swimming pool, leisure complex and our own residential centre in Anglesey.
A very good and well-established school already, we have made rapid progress in recent years and have no intention of resting on our laurels.
The potential here is huge and it is a lovely place to work.
