The role
We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic person with a flexible approach to work within the Highway Asset Maintenance Section. The work involves the operation of light/heavy good vehicles and specialist plant. The area of work will cover but will not be limited to general Highway Maintenance, Street Lighting, Gully Cleansing and Mechanical Sweeping.
What\\\’s needed?
Applicants should preferably possess a clean full HGV driving licence, (C1+E) a current Drivers Qualification card (CPC) have previous experience, although HGV training may be provide for the right candidate (HGV training must be completed within 3 months of taking up the post) and have the ability to work flexibly covering a variety of tasks with a practical approach and be prepared to undertake additional hours when required.
Applicants must be physically fit to complete all duties, be able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions, have excellent customer care skills and be willing to undertake any necessary training to fully complete the role.
The hours of work are 37 per week to suit the needs of the service.
