Warrington Borough Council IT Department is committed to delivering high-quality services to our customers. We are looking for a talented IT Demand Analyst to join our dynamic team and help us optimise our IT resources and services.
The role
As an IT Demand Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing and forecasting the demand for IT services within our local authority. You will work closely with various departments to understand their IT needs, analyse trends, and ensure that our IT infrastructure can meet these demands efficiently.
What\’s needed?
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyse incoming change requests for IT. Work with customers to get a clear view of what they are trying to achieve. Document this into the form of a project Charter stating what the scope of the project is, what the outcomes must be, whether there are specific time and cost constraints.
• Provide assistance to project managers as they translate these into projects plans.
• Support the portfolio manager in the updating of the IT portfolio.
• Support the portfolio manager in developing standards and templates for use in portfolio management and project delivery, ensuring these are easy to use and of high-quality.
• Undertake solution research by exploring different technology solution options from sources such as the Digital Marketplace (gCloud) and the Internet. Develop reports to document the finding of the analysis
