Job Description

Shift: 4ON 4OFF Nights

Salary: £12.94 per hour + £1.29 per hour Nights premium – £14.23 per hour total

Overtime: Paid at 1.33 per hour plus 10% Nights premium – £17.21 per hour + £1.29 per hour Nights – £18.50 per hour total

• Operating a Forklift to transport materials and goods throughout the warehouse.
• Loading and unloading trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
• Stacking and organising pallets and other items within the warehouse.
• Conducting pre-operation inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Ensuring the correct amount of product is picked and built correctly and safely onto a pallet, in line with warehouse procedures.
• Stretch wrapping the completed order to secure it and presenting it to the appropriate marshalling area.
• Removing incoming loads from vehicles, paying attention to best before dates, product description, quantity, and quality. Utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to support the Goods in activity.
• Loading picked and marshalled pallets from the marshalling area to outward bound vehicles using WMS.
• Meeting required Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
• Ensuring all equipment is operated safely and used in line with training.
• Changing FLT battery when the existing one is flat.
• Cleaning the FLT on a daily basis.
• Adhering to the \’clean as you go\’ policy, with a focus on recycling and waste management.
• Using, wearing, and maintaining all Personal Protective Equipment at all times, and reporting any breaches in Health, Safety, and Welfare immediately to management.
• Undertaking additional Warehouse Operative duties as requested by supervisor/manager.

Qualifications

• A Reach Truck Licence is essential for this role – We will consider an In-house Licence.
• Experience in the safe operation of electric-powered pallet trucks.
• Experience in the safe operation of electric ride-on powered pallet trucks.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Adaptable approach to training.
• Conscientious and reliable.
