As the oldest Cornish pasty maker in the world, we pride ourselves on delivering delicious baked goods and brilliant customer service. We are now seeking a full-time, permanent Store Manager to lead and inspire our team in Trago Devon for 39 hours a week. The successful candidate will be passionate about customer service, team leadership, and delivering excellent food and beverage experiences. Our store is open every day of the week, with operating hours from 9:00am – 16:30pm and the ideal candidate will be available to work flexible hours across all seven days including weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage hiring, performance, scheduling, and task assignments for the team.
  • Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the shop, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Commercial Targets: Develop and implement plans to achieve commercial targets for sales, standards, people, and costs.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits to ensure the shop is functional, presentable, and maintains high standards of hygiene and food safety.
  • Stock Management: Champion stock availability and product quality, oversee ordering, stock counts, merchandising, and stock rotation.
  • Customer Service: Serve as a role model for delivering the best customer service experience on the high street.
  • Team Development: Ensure the store team is safe, motivated, and well-trained.

Requirements:

  • Previous management experience, preferably in food retail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to monitor, manage and improve KPIs.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Due to the tasks involved within this role, you must be 18 or over.
