I'm working exclusively with a leading global advisory firm that is investing heavily in its UK restructuring practice. This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leading restructuring team at a pivotal point in its growth. Due to continued demand and a strong pipeline of mandates, they are looking to appoint an experienced Director to join an expanding team that is already recognised as a leader in its field. This is a rare chance to step into a high profile role, work on complex and often headline situations, and help shape the next phase of a growing business.
You will advise lenders, investors, boards and management teams on financially stressed and underperforming businesses. Depending on your background, you will join either the creditor side or the debtor side of the practice, working on situations such as:
Lender advisory, independent business reviews and monitoring
Company side restructuring, turnaround and contingency planning
Refinancing, restructuring plans, CVAs and consensual solutions
Formal insolvency appointments and advisory mandates
Stakeholder negotiations across lenders, sponsors, management and other parties
You will take real responsibility from day one, leading engagements, managing client relationships and developing the team around you.
This role offers an excellent opportunity as it offers ;
A market leading team that is still growing.
You will join at a time of expansion, with the visibility and influence that come with building something rather than simply maintaining it.
Genuine progression.
The firm is looking for future leaders. For the right person there is a clear route to the next level, with the opportunity to grow your own client base and profile.
High quality, varied work.
Expect complex, high value mandates across sectors, working alongside highly regarded colleagues.
Entrepreneurial culture with global reach.
You will benefit from the resources and credibility of an international platform, with the autonomy to make a real difference.
Competitive package.
(Compensation and benefits to be added)
This role is only suited to candidates with previous restructuring experience gained at a professional services firm or a restructuring boutique. You will ideally have:
A track record as a Director or Associate Director, or be a strong Senior Manager ready to step up, in restructuring, turnaround or business recovery
Hands on experience on either the creditor side or the debtor side, with a clear understanding of the other
A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) ideally
Strong commercial and financial judgement, with the ability to build trust quickly with senior stakeholders
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the confidence to lead teams and engagements
A real interest in business development and growing your own network
