I’m currently working with a leading restructuring team that are looking to add an Associate Director to its team. It’s a genuinely interesting opportunity for someone who enjoys complex, hands-on work and wants to be part of a supportive, thoughtful environment rather than just another transaction machine.
This team helps companies and their stakeholders through periods of financial or operational stress, offering pragmatic, commercial solutions that actually make a difference. The work spans turnaround support, independent business reviews, contingency planning, options analysis and formal insolvency appointments. They work across a range of sectors — real estate, energy, construction, healthcare, manufacturing and consumer finance — with high profile clients. The team’s based in London but operates nationally (and often internationally), and the firm’s culture really stands out. It’s open, flexible and human.
To be considered, you’ll need to have previous restructuring or insolvency experience gained in a professional services or consulting environment. That could be with one of the larger firms or a specialist boutique, but it does need to be direct, practical experience — not adjacent exposure.
You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with experience in areas like independent business reviews, options analysis, short-term cash flow work or formal insolvency appointments. At Associate Director level, you’ll be managing full portfolios, leading client relationships, mentoring junior colleagues and helping shape business development.
If you’re already working in restructuring or insolvency and curious about what’s next, I’d be happy to have a confidential chat and share more about the team and what they’re building.
