A leading strategic intelligence and risk advisory firm is expanding its Europe team and is seeking experienced Managers and Associate Directors to lead complex intelligence engagements across the region. This role involves independently managing high-impact strategic intelligence projects covering reputational, commercial, regulatory and political risk, supporting private equity and multinational clients in critical decision-making.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading end-to-end strategic intelligence investigations across Europe
- Structuring lines of enquiry based on commercial, regulatory and political risk analysis
- Identifying and engaging relevant human sources inside and outside the firm’s network
- Directing analysts on open-source research requirements and quality control
- Assessing source credibility and synthesising intelligence into actionable insight
- Delivering high-pressure client briefings to deal teams, legal teams and C-suite stakeholders
- Producing narrative-driven written reports for commercial audiences
- Building and developing long-term human-source networks across multiple geographies
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 4 years’ professional experience, including at least 2 years leading consulting or intelligence projects
- Background in business intelligence, strategy or management consulting, regulatory, political risk or geopolitical analysis
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to quickly understand business models and value chains
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and professional judgement
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to deliver high-quality work independently
Preferred:
- Fluency in a second European business language (e.g. French or Spanish)
- People-management or mentoring experience
