The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Finance Director to join a growing M&A Lead Advisory team. This role suits a commercially focused advisor who enjoys leading complex transactions, building trusted client relationships, and contributing to the strategic development of a high-performing advisory platform. You will play a key role in delivering UK and cross-border M&A transactions while helping to shape the future direction of the Corporate Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, management buyouts, and equity and debt fundraising mandates
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, investors, and counterparties throughout transaction processes
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, investors, and professional advisers
- Identifying new business opportunities and contributing to pitches and proposals
- Applying deep knowledge of M&A processes to deliver high-quality, commercial advice
- Expanding and leveraging your professional and investor network
- Mentoring and developing junior team members, ensuring consistently high standards of delivery
- Supporting the continued evolution of the Corporate Finance function, including improving processes, efficiency, and cross-border collaboration
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA required)
- Minimum of 6 yearsโ post-qualification experience within Corporate Finance / M&A advisory
- Strong track record of delivering M&A transactions in a client-facing advisory environment
- Excellent financial and commercial analysis skills, including valuation methodologies and oversight of financial models
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities
- Advanced Excel capability, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly and concisely
