We are delighted to be supporting a local Northampton business who are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their friendly finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on ledger role and wants to be part of a friendly, supportive team – with the possibility of securing a permanent position after the initial contract.
Contract: 6-month temporary role with the potential to become permanent
What You'll Be Doing:
- Processing high-volume purchase ledger invoices
- Matching, batching and coding invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Creating and managing purchase orders
- Matching POs to invoices
- Handling supplier queries professionally and promptly
- Supporting with bank and account reconciliations
- Assisting with ad-hoc finance tasks as needed
Who We're Looking For:
- Have purchase ledger / accounts payable experience
- Are confident processing high-volume invoices accurately
- Have strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software
- Communicate clearly and enjoy working in a small, supportive team
- Bring a proactive, can-do attitude
- Can reliably commute to the Northampton office (public transport and parking both available)
