This is a full-time office-based position, Monday to Friday, the successful candidate must live within an easy commute of Northampton.
Key Responsibilities
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Accruals and prepayments
- Journal postings
- Fixed asset register maintenance
- Month-end reporting
- Production of profit and loss reports
- Variance analysis and reporting
- Intrastat reporting
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts
- Making recommendations based on financial analysis
- Assisting with purchase ledger activities
- Cashiering duties Working with complex Excel spreadsheets and financial data
You may be
- AAT qualified or studying AAT
- An Accounting & Finance graduate
- Studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA
- Experienced within an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant role
You’ll also have
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookups and data analysis
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
- A positive and proactive approach to learning
