This is a full-time office-based position, Monday to Friday, the successful candidate must live within an easy commute of Northampton.

Key Responsibilities

  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Journal postings
  • Fixed asset register maintenance
  • Month-end reporting
  • Production of profit and loss reports
  • Variance analysis and reporting
  • Intrastat reporting
  • Supporting the preparation of management accounts
  • Making recommendations based on financial analysis
  • Assisting with purchase ledger activities
  • Cashiering duties Working with complex Excel spreadsheets and financial data

You may be

  • AAT qualified or studying AAT
  • An Accounting & Finance graduate
  • Studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA
  • Experienced within an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant role

You’ll also have

  • Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookups and data analysis
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
  • A positive and proactive approach to learning
