The WMUK Financial Planning team is integral to driving the budgeting, forecasting, performance management, and financial reporting processes across all UK businesses. We primarily collaborate with the record labels but also work closely with other key departments such as Commercial, Legal, HR, and Production. Our goal is to enhance business decision-making and deliver optimal financial outcomes, ensuring that each aspect of the business is aligned for success.
Your role:
This role is responsible for supporting the Financial Planning Director of Atlantic & Rhino in financial planning and ongoing business support. The role is a combination of budgeting, forecasting and month end responsibilities in addition to preparation of deal appraisals and analysis for distribution to senior management.
Here you’ll get to:

Take ownership of the A&R spend for the Atlantic roster. This includes reviewing recording budgets with the A&R co-ordination team, liaising with Business Affairs on advances and consultants and being across Tour Support requests

Prepare monthly A&R financials, including review of POs and transactions, to ensure accuracy & completeness of A&R accrual. Preparation of variance analysis for discussion in department month end meeting

Work closely with Business Affairs to prepare deal appraisals for potential new signings and renegotiation of current artist agreements

Update label forecast models for monthly MUR actuals and forecast

Review of Atlantic sales units forecast

Prepare P&L’s to support decision making on product pricing

Prepare and provide commentary as necessary on monthly balance sheet reconciliations and income statement accounts

Prepare monthly A&R cashflow submissions

Assist the Financial Planning Director with forecast and budget preparation including sales history information and populating the model with domestic & MUR sales forecasts

Prepare recoupable cost data to be submitted to royalties for inclusion on artist royalty statements

Assist the Financial Planning Director in checking the costs and revenue/earnings on artist royalty statements

Carry out other ad-hoc duties as required within the label finance teams

CIMA/ ACCA finalist with proven Financial Planning experience

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Strong analytical skills and an ability to work through problems logically.
